For Het Beelddepot I followed Halima and Mihreteab in their day to day life in the Netherlands (2022)

Het Beelddepot is a Dutch initiative that contributes to a more realistic image of homelessness, taking into account the vulnerable position of homeless people and the extent to which it can happen to anyone. Through collaboration between journalists, designers, scientists, policy makers and (with a guiding role for) experts by experience, the municipality ensures better representation and perspective. The persistent negative representation and framing of homelessness hinders a constructive self-image of homeless people and has an inhibiting effect on more constructive social policy. One of the results is the creation of a contemporary image bank with more than a hundred photos of and about homeless people.
